The American Royal Family

Just finished watching 'The Kennedys', its like a short biography split into 8 episodes about the presidency of JFK, as well as giving the viewers a taste on how he carried about in his private life.
Personally i have a very very very strong interest in US foreign policy and everything to do with their government, its my favourite aspect of politics, and just watching the presidency of JFK makes me and keeps me more intrigued.

In short, a way or statement in which i could summarise how i feel about them: i think that the Kennedy's with Jackie O as the first lady, was America's only chance and opportunity of having a royal family. there is no denial in the way in which Jackie O carried herself and managed the white house, it was a piece of cake for her. the refurbishment, the children, the social life, the campaigning and of course her iconic fashion sense. I truly respect this woman.
She started new trends, and owned her fashion. she was a true queen in her own sense.
She managed to sleep at night knowing her husband had an affair with only the most desirable woman at the time; Marilyn Monroe.
Takes a true trooper to be able to get some sleep at night with that in mind.
The ability she had in her to put on a happy face in public watch women throw themselves at the father of her children, there is no word to describe her.
This just goes on to prove the strength and courage of a woman, sacrificing her own right of happiness to her husbands success. Definitely an inspiration to all women, and an IDOL.

JFK's presidency leaves a mark in all hearts of those that were once hopeful of a new way of ruling, a true 'new' world order.
Sadly we have not come to see the continuity of his policies in our world today.
He had a natural charisma about him.
one that would not infringe on rights of others, but emphasise the importance of them. JFK couldn't have said it in better words : " It is not a victory of might, but a vindication of rights"

i strongly suggest you watch this, i promise you wont be bored :) !

who knew protesting could be so much fun lol. gotta love them !

The connection between the UN and a sunny day at the park

So today was extremely sunny, hot, refreshing and delightful. anyone and everyone needs a day like this to just detox from the dull boring london weather. really uplifts the mood, makes you just want to walk around and smile at random people.

as i was walking around acting like a tourist in the country ive lived in for just around 3 years now, i couldnt help my self but be attracted to the everyday politics that just seems to creep up at every corner!
walking through the park all i could see was masses of people just lying around being as unproductive as they can. doing absolutely nothing. this for some odd reason reminded me of the UN :)

when i was younger, whenever anyone asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up, i'd stand up, clear my throat and with all the confidence i had in my little body would say " i want to work in the UN and become an ambassador there, to fight for the cause of humanity" . so much ambition and desire to be part of this institution that i considered to be pure and honest.
but my oh my , little did i know.

connection to the random people in the park? well yes thats how i feel the delegates are. unproductive, useless. and the park is the international community, a big big big park that they can run around in as they please. Qaddafi was right when he mentioned that the delegates are like people "sleeping in hyde park".
the UN is based on the funding they receive from the US, their largest funder. unfortunately they have yet to prove to me their initial motives, fight for humanity.
i.e Iraq 2003. according to them it was legitimate. but was it legal?
thats a whole topics i will elaborate on soon. Legitimacy vs Legality .
when u think of masses of people lying down in a park being unproductive in a large piece of land, please dont hesitate to think of the UN, until proven other wise.

deMOCKracy.

the title says enough don't you think?
its a trend that seems to be taking over the political runways and is the 'IT' thing, the MUST have accessory of the century. like the retro chic style that is ruling 2011 (i hope i'm right fashionistas)

its just something that people dont know much about but yet somehow believe that they can magically apply and implement it into their existing policies AND succeed at it. like not everyone can pull off high waist skinny jeggings people, seriously, it just looks gross on some people :)

listen guys, there have been many elections that have taken place around the world that were in order to restore certain systems from one of autocracy to democracy, but guess what? it wasn't all done in a clean manner, there was a lot of 'under-the-table' activities taking place! so personally i feel why not do everything (even if it was bad) in the public's eye , rather than lie about it and do it 'while we were sleeping' . ha ? i don't think its THAT impossible!
In all honesty an example that jumps right out at me is iran, in the glory days of the shah, yes there was alot of spending going on and lavish parties etc,, but i feel the people were happier then, than with the iran revolution and the current administration.. It was more relaxed and problems would have been solved if reasoning and rationality were two variables that were taken into consideration and used correctly. i know this is a powerful statement, but even after asking a few iranian friends of mine, they seem to agree with me.

THEREFORE i believe that democracy is like high waist skinny jeggings, u have to have the right form and physique to be able to pull it off. how about that !?
(a picture says a thousand words, sorry jessica love you and all, but that outfit??!! really!?!)

you know what? this word should have a password on it, it shouldn't be used and abused by certain individuals that have immense power in the international arena. and the password should include hints of rationality, common sense, reasoning and long term perception.

i am only saying this so that i can finally stop my guilty pleasure of typing deMOCKracy rather than democracy in all of my courseworks. LOL

Motivation? where art thou?

I always had a passion for writing and a passion for politics and world affairs. so why not combine and put those two into one?
genius much?
i never saw myself as one who would be insecure about anything in my life. i see myself as someone who carries themselves with an air of extreme confidence; but who knew, it was my number one love that i was insecure about. my writing.
if it hadn't been for a dear dear friend of mine who pushed me to start this blog, and motivated me to believe in my writing more, this blog
would never have been born. i thank you truly, deeply and sincerely. you motivated me.
like romeo found his juliet, i found mine. (sounded better in my head)
you just created a monster :) … a politics-loving , mind-rambling , word-vomiting monster. RawR.

motivation has been found --> a rebirth of confidence will surge into this world.
even words cant express how thankful i am, even if i wrote volumes.

hope u enjoy my future dark humoured,cynical,irony-filled posts that will commence soon :)

Islamic Awakening? says who?

So everyone seems to be talking about this islamic awakening , I mean, why do they keep calling it an islamic awakening when its actually the islamic states wanted to turn all western and impose the all holy "promotion of democracy".
Hmm sense any irony with me?
Okay so looking at the gulf protests, its not that the only reason I am saying this with a hint of sarcasm is because I am from the gulf, but I seriously believe that the way in which to resolve these issues are by dealing directly with the ruling party. As much as this might sound backwards but its in the peoples mentality and cultures that make me believe in this method of communication. Get a goat, kill it , cook it with rice and that will solve the issues. Trust me.
(And yes I absolutely agree this doesn't apply to all arab countries, and would be an idiot not express with great passion that gadaffi is the ultimate exception haha- he is out of this world)
Speaking of malk mlook afreeQya's nation, Ely ana ashofhom 9a7yeen are the leaders of alazhar in egypt , who said that the interventions in libya are robbing the people of their natural HUMAN resources! Deja vu anyone? Iraq maybe?
And by the US saying they are not putting a timeline on the assault to Libya is just adding more turd onto obamas plate, not only has he inherited two wars, but he is giving birth to a 3rd one. So much for the many promises he made of cutting military costs, and bringing back troops, maybe he meant relocating troops ? Haha. I'm just glad that what I predicted about him is actually right. Poor americans, I bet they are even more blank than ever, they might not even know what libya is, maybe they think libya is a type of food. Somehow I manage to reference everything to food, I'm hungry.
I am so very aware that this might be the most cynical, negative piece of political analysis that might have come across all of a sudden. But please bear with me, its 3,20am , supposed to be studying which I can't and I can't fall asleep either. Wow lucky me. But this is how I feel right now, and no better way than to express with my lovely words..
